Purple Reign: Breaking the Rules of Curly Color ⚡️💜
At ASSORT OSAKA, we don’t just “dye” hair—we curate a transformation. Today we’re taking you behind the chair to see exactly how we achieved this high-saturation purple on naturally dark, curly hair.

Step 1: The Global Lift
To get that neon-bright purple, we first have to “clear the canvas.” We performed a full head of foils (Global Bleach) to lift the natural dark brown to a warm blonde.
Expert Note: As you can see in the progress photo, the hair reached a vibrant golden yellow. This is the perfect level for applying deep purples and pinks, as the underlying warmth adds richness and longevity to the final vivid shade.
Step 2: The Color Cocktail
The secret to this specific “Electric Violet” is a custom blend of high-end Japanese professional colors. We used a mix of:
Milbon ENOG (Neon Pink & Purple): Known for its incredible clarity and “inner-glow” finish.
Shiseido COLOR MUSE (Violet & Pink): These are the gold standard for high-intensity direct dyes, offering a smooth, cream-like texture that deeply saturates curly hair.
By mixing pink and purple tones, we create a “berry” undertone that keeps the color from looking flat and ensures it fades beautifully into a soft lavender.
Step 3: Defining the Texture
Vivid color is the statement, but the texture is the soul. To keep these curls bouncy and hydrated post-bleach, we followed a strict moisture-first routine:
Prep: Saturated the hair with Milbon Wave Defining Cream.
Define: Meticulously finger-coiled every individual section to “train” the curl.
Set: A low-heat diffuser dry to lock in volume and high-definition shape.
The Final Result
The transition from that bright yellow “lift” stage to the final violet is incredible. The curls look healthier than ever, with a shine that only high-quality professional dyes like ENOG and Color Muse can provide.
Inspired by this look? Whether you want a subtle tint or a global vivid transformation, our stylists at ASSORT OSAKA are experts in both color chemistry and curly hair texture.
