TBS's evening news "Nスタ" visits ASSORT TOKYO

On 29 October 2026, TBS's evening news programme "Nスタ" aired a feature asking visitors from abroad about their first experiences in Japan. One of the places it went to was ASSORT TOKYO, our salon in Aoyama, Tokyo.

Why a hair salon in Japan?

The feature, 「外国人に聞きました~ニッポンの初体験を教えてください~」 ("We asked visitors from abroad: tell us about your first experiences in Japan"), set out to find out why hair salons in Japan have become so popular with travellers. TBS filmed at ASSORT TOKYO in September, with the comedian Abareru-kun asking the questions.

When TBS put the feature on its TBS NEWS DIG YouTube channel on 1 November, its title called ASSORT TOKYO "a hair salon where nine in ten guests are tourists from abroad". The same feature also found that a chain-restaurant beef bowl and a convenience-store egg sandwich are surprise favourites with visitors.

The whole feature is on TBS NEWS DIG's YouTube channel — the link is below. Thank you to everyone at "Nスタ", and to the guests who took part.
